It is easy to book an appointment.  Simply give the friendly team at Dunedin City GP a call or email us here.  Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you with scheduling your Skin and Surgery Clinic appointment at a time that is convenient for you.

Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.  We are closed on public holidays.

Do I need a referral?

At Dunedin Skin and Surgery, we do not require a referral from a doctor or other healthcare professional in order to book an appointment with us. You can simply contact us directly to schedule a consultation with Dr Sharma.  However, if you have been referred to us by another healthcare provider, we may request information from them in order to better understand your medical history and tailor our treatment approach to your specific needs.

How much does it cost?

Our fees vary depending on the type, complexity  and duration of the service provided.  We strive to make our services accessible to all patients and we offer competitive pricing that is in line with industry standards.  If you have any questions about our fees or payment options, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Additionally, we may be able to provide you with an estimate of the cost of your treatment based on your specific needs and treatment plan.  Some skin cancer treatments are free under the WellSouth GPSI Programme for Skin Cancers.  

What should I expect in an initial consultation?

During your initial consultation at Dunedin Skin and Surgery, you can expect to receive a comprehensive assessment of your condition from Dr Sharma.  This assessment will typically include a review of your medical history, a physical examination, and an evaluation of your current symptoms.   Based on this assessment, we will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan with costing.   We will also take the time to answer any questions you may have and provide you with education on your condition and how the treatment can help.   Overall, our goal is to ensure that you feel informed, comfortable, and empowered to take an active role in your recovery journey.

What is the cancellation policy?

If  you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible and provide us with at least 24 hours notice.  This allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient who may be waiting for care.   If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice - or if you do not show up for your appointment, we may charge a cancellation fee.  However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs while also ensuring that our schedule runs smoothly.
